Laptops :: lcd resolution

Found that append line - damned non-colour terminal... Trying now...

And I tried booting with knoppix fb800x600 - the resolution defaults to 1024x768.

Now, another question if I may - where do you put that vga=789 mode when you don't have the knoppix boot prompt ?

Try to boot the machine with a DSL cd, and at the prompt enter:
knoppix vga=789, then use the xfbdev server choice given, not the xvesa.

How does one do that without having to do a reinstall of the HD-install I did ? Any way to plug that into my xsetup or lilo.conf ? I'm not a debian / lilo person, so I dunno how it's all put together

Or tell me how to set that up so I can make it work on my HD-install.
