Laptops :: Help with soundcard issue

I have a gateway solo 2150 with a creative labs ev1938 sound card and i cant get the sound card to detect in dsl

anyone else had this issue, and any ways to fix it

other than that dsl is a great flavor of linux even running it off of disc i am very impressed keep up the good work guys!

currently in the system stats window it says

sound fullname = creative labs es1371
sound driver= es1371

hope this helps anyone figure it out
