Laptops :: Thinkpads and linux the true design

I think our friends at IBM really design the Thinkpad 385xd for linux and not M$. Evey time I boot to BIOS I notice that the mouse pointer is a flying bird that strongly resembles our sweet little mascot for linux. Has anyone notice this on old thinkpads?
