Laptops :: USB Problems Printer/WUSB11

I am a newbie.

I am tryget my old pressario to connect to the USB of my HP 952C printer with no luck.I have a similar problem with my Linksys WUSB11 USB Adapter.
I can configure the printer, but it will not print using the USB port . I works okay with the parallel port BUT NOT the USB port. I get either a NO page foiund message or a No USB device message.

I looked in DMESG and the usb port seems to be recognized. I am not sure how to copy that section here.

Some more info If I so lsusb I get the following:
