Laptops :: Waking from sleep mode

I installed DSL to my hard drive and it's running great on my old laptop, but when the LT goes into sleep mode I can't wake it back up. The screen comes on, but it's just black.

Try changing the power modes i.e. try booting with a combination of noapm/noapic/noacpi?

Try switching the lcd/crt in & out. It worked for me on a NEC Versa, running XFree86. After I tweaked the XFConfig file the problem went away altogether.
