Laptops :: Sony Vaio C1 success stories?
Make that directory first with
mkdir /mnt/test
Thanks curaga,
at least this did work...
Now I´ve got to find out which config file to change...
You guys can call me fool...but I´m stuck!
Made the installation like mentioned in the very short XFree86.unc docu.
Which files need to changed? There are two configuration files in /etc/X11:
XFConfig
XF86Config-4
I´ve been trying different XF86Config-4 I´ve found on the web but none was working. DSL is still running with VGA
Next try: installed one XF86Config-4 file and started XFree86.
The screen is quickly "bleeding out" from dark to a very light grey. I can see nothing on the screen.
UPDATE: One step further!
When I type "XFree86" the "naked" windowmanager is starting in 1024x480. Bingo!
But if try to start with startx or x again only VGA...
Your .xserverrc file should look like:
exec /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 -nolisten tcp
