Laptops :: Kernel Panic booting DSL 3.3 on Dell Latitude D610

I tried all sorts of cheat codes to get DSL to boot on my Dell 620.  What worked in the end was turning off USB keyboard emulation in the BIOS.

There have been a number of reported issues trying to boot from a USB stick >512MB.

1. Roberts suggests a solution in the DSL-4 alpha-2 release notes
2. You could partition your drive into several partitions with the boot partition <512MB
3. You could use ext2 rather than FAT.
