Laptops :: DSL install out of W2K

Hello
As W2K seems to get slower and slower every day, I would like to "upgrade" my Thinkpad240 with DSL.
Is there any option to do it out of windows without disassembling my little baby? There is no accessory around. No bootable USB, no CD, no Ethernet...
I think of something like the way "Xandros Presto" is installed - easy going. Unfortunately Presto doesn't want to be installed from W2K.
