First you to make is easy just ctrl + alt + backspace to kill X and go straight to command line and then become root. Second run
(match settings in your bois, these should be the same since they would be the same model but could differ) These should both complete without error. Third "startx" and look for the audio mixer in the slit. Now try testing your sound. If it works then you've done it. If you lock up then you have a confict and should try checking the irq settings in bios. Fourth add working commands to /opt/bootlocal.sh Then next time you reboot it should be working. Well after many tweaks and reboots, not to mention fscks, we got it working. Hopefully this will save you some steps whiel setting up sound on the Fujitsu C340
