Laptops :: thinkpad 380ed questions

How many ppl here have this laptop?

I Have noticed these problems.

It does not boot with dsl 8,2 !! it gives me a bac checksum error at boot . I have tried 3 different burned cds and all give me the same error. DSL 7.2 boots fine and this is what i have installed.

Also, i get the above error with other minimal 50mb distros but i know the cds are ok because they work on my other machines.

Last how do i enter in the BIOS?

del F1 F2 F11 F12 dont do the trick

Even though its 2 years late I will answer you questions anyway at least if for nothing else except the next person doing a search.

As of right now I am having the same checksum error when trying to boot dsl-2.2RC2 from the CD. If i am able to figure it out I will post how i fixed it later.

As for the 2nd question, to enter bios you have to hold down the F1 key until it pops up.

Does the

DSL 2.2 syslinux .iso

version work?
