Laptops :: One USB Two Drives
Is there any way to boot with the usb boot disc on a usb floppy drive and then cut off this drive and put in a usb cdrw and boot the dsl live cd when the bootdisc is ready with work ? I have just ONE USB to place on my Portégé 3480 !
could that crazy thing work
if yes please say me some steps how i get along the install after booting from bootdisc
oh man much "boot"
this question is related to your other question?
do you have a working os on the /dev/hda3?
if so you can copy the /KNOPPIX dir to the ext2 partition and use the bootfloppy.
at the boot prompt type:
dsl fromhd=/dev/hda3
yes its related to this,
my os is on the first partition and the ext2 is clear of data just made with partition magic 8
all volks hda1 windows 2000 professional
hda2 just another data with ntfs
hda3 ext2 (i think)
hda4 swap
how i could copy the /KNOPPIX to hda3 when run windows ?
or do you mean copy /KNOPPIX to hda1 or 2 and boot with disc to copy from 1 or 2 to hda3 but i dont think i find a bootdisc to mount my hda"x"
do you have any idea ? *i get crazy without DSL on my laptop*
so your ext2 is "empty" why dont you format is fat32
then you can read and write it from winows and still use dsl on it?
you mean make a fat32 not ext2 and copy the complete dsl cd to the fat32 ? boot from hda3 hmmm bootdisc bullshit i think thats not so good why? lilo or such is on start not running i mean ARGH HOW TO
Iam still become a tree so i mustnt do this
