Well I have finally gotten the file onto the laptops hard drive by using WinRAR and unRAR for DOS, But now I'm having the problem of not having enought ram to run linux, If anyone can recommend a linux distro that will work with 8MB of Ram (maybe an older version of dsl?) If anyone could recommend one that'd be great.

8Megs of RAM is way to low to run DSL, it takes almost a minimum of 14 just to run X...there are a few floppy versions of linux out there.

If you want X windows, you could take a look at http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/baslinux/.

Other possibilities are the command line versions of:
http://amigolinux.org/download/index.htm
http://delilinux.berlios.de/

Blueflops Linux (two floppy distro, actively developed)will work on this low spec. with swap space see
