Laptops :: Latitude CP questions

Hey gang.
I gave my niece an old laptop given to me by a friend, and I'd like it to run DSL. It boots fine, and the network pcmcia card gets to the net, but like several others, i have the green screen issue. Also, I have a D-link DWL-G630 wireless card in it as well. I'd like help finding drivers for the card and fixing the green screen.

Hi,
I've been messing around with DSL and and it derivative Feather for some time now. I am running a Dell CP M233ST. The answer to your green screen issue is to make sure and boot with the x-framebuffer option, instead of xvesa. You will find that straightens things out.

On a side note, has anyone managed to get the sound to work with the Crystal 4237B sound system on this laptop? I have tried sndconfig to no avail. ALSA as well with no luck. From my forum reading, there should be a Mod Probe command, but I would appreciate it if someone could give me the particulars and where to insert it in the boot process.

Sorry guys with a bit more reading here I found some info on the CS4237B sound system, but any info specific to the Dell CP series would be appreciated.
