Laptops :: DSL doesn't boot

I've tried many DSL versions, any of them will not boot, don't know why, I just see a black screen after bootmenu, I've tried every boot parameter there are(belive me )

I have Packard Bell's laptop(C3255), it has 512mb ram, and I had gentoo in it earlier.

Knoppix boots, ubuntu doesn't boot - thats strange?
