Laptops :: faster 2D acceleration?

My lappy acts like its got no 2d acceleration.......browsing webpages is annoying.

any video setup program or different drivers?

it uses a NeoMagic Graphx card

I think its because of the tiny xserver, I have the same video chip and the same problem. I plan on installing the full xfree86 from the mydsl repository when I get time to be able to concentrate on what Im doing. I hear that will fix it.
