Laptops :: Laptop Screen Close

On my dell latitude c610 when i close the screen/lid and the screen powers down when opened again it does not come back on (it does in windows)
does anyone else have this problem?

Maybe there is a power management setting inside your BIOS that can be disabled.

My guess is the "hibernation" feature does not work right with the default DSL boot commands.

i have checked the bios for any settings before, its definatly a linux thing because i have tryed several other distros and they all do the same

don't have a Dell, dude, but my Stinkpads have options in the BIOS to fix that. You might re-check?
