Laptops :: Stops at xauth on Toshiba Sat 2590CDT

Everything seems to be detected OK. DSL enters INIT 5 using Xvesa. However, it stops after saying

I wouldn't say it's frozen, because I can CTRL-ALT-DEL out of it and DSL pops the disc and shuts down. Any ideas?

Tray and boot with this command:

fb800x600 xsetup

NOT

dsl fb800x600 xsetup

and choose the "xfbdev" server in the menu.
