Laptops :: intel 82855 graphics driver problem

ok, so i download the .tar.gz file from their website, unpack it, and when i go to run the install.sh in the package, it says there are missing ed utilities

then i download the .rpm file, install it and then when i reboot, linux wont load

anyone else had this problem?
