Laptops :: DSL 1.5 on Toshiba 2595 CDT

I have this 400 Mhz laptop and have installed a dual boot with W98 and DSL 1.5. It boots OK until it gets to the start of the X system then it stays in text mode and does nothing. If I hit Ctrl "z" it returns to the text prompt. I have tried running xsetup.sh but no settings change the behavior. Ideas?

BTW, it used to run Vectorlinux V4 SOHO, fairly well but I like the DSL concept better.

boot using the fb800x600. Later, after you experiment a little, you might want to modify your grub or lilo menu to use only the settings that work best for that laptop.
