Apt-get :: apt-get upgrade vs HD install

UNC's are only used in frugal DSL environments (v3+, without the legacy option, using unionfs)
Could you tell me what's the difference between a dsl-hdinstall and a frugal install?

I don't get it.

I don't either.

Search for the following thread title (in this forum):

Why do I still do regular HD installs of DSL?

This will turn up a great thread of a poll taken on how people use DSL. I didn't know what frugal was before I read up on this. There are a lot of interesting insights on DSL contained in this thread.

It's explained in the startup page that pops up under dillo.

You can also find it in the wiki (Local Startup Docs)
