Apt-get :: libc6 problems with apt-get

I load dpkg using the dpkg.dsl
I run apt-get update.

Whenever i try to apt-get install or run synaptic, it goes fairly far, downloading a bunch of stuff then, then says:
Code Sample
Setting up libc6 (2.3.2.ds1-22)...
date: invalid date 'Thu Jun 9 00:18:00 UTC 2005'
dpkg: error processing libc6 (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 libc6
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

And then it stops.

Also, kinda unrelated, but when i change ~/.xinitrc, it gets wiped of changes on reboot for somereason (it's on filetool.lst and a persistent partition).  Instead I've been putt http_proxy into .bash_profile and it seems to be working.

Did you have the gnu-utils.dsl installed before you did this?
Try this change.  It refers to an older version of libc but the solution may still work here:

The other version of libc was structured much diffferently from the current one i thought.  At least i think so.  It wasn't exactly the same so I got confused.  If you know any other ideas I would greatly appreciate it.  I need to have gcc dsl-dpkg and apt get enabled for it to should be working?

original here.
