There are PowerPC PowerBooks and PowerPC iMacs that exist with less than 512MB of RAM.

I do not believe DSL has been yet ported to the PPC platform. DSL is debian based, and debian itself is ported to various platforms, including PPC. If you would like some assistance in installing Debian, and personalizing it to look and feel like DSL, I would be happy to assist you! Debian, when installed from the "netinst" ISO with a lightweight DM/WM such as the ones DSL uses is a great choice that will use very little RAM.
