1  Damn Small Linux / HD Install / Help me install DSL from Ubuntu on: February 05, 2013, 11:30:27 PM
Hai,

I currently have Ubuntu (12.10) installed thinking that it would be the answer to all of my problems, but it has been nothing but more problems.

I've tried installing DSL multiple times including 2 bootable cds and a bootable flash drive.  I'm able to begin the installation, but it never finishes.

No matter my installation method, I keep getting black-screened soon after is says "creating new authority file /home/dsl/.xauthority".

Keep in mind, I know nothing about linux, and this is my first experience with linux, ever.

I'm not really sure what to say here.

Someone help?
