firefox, firefox-esr & sound (tl;dr: choose firefox-esr) - John - 02-10-2024 If you are going to install Firerfox via apt you have the option of firefox and forefox-esr. For simmplicity I believe most people will be happier with choosing firefox-esr. If you want to use the firefox package there will be issues with audio because it works with PulseAudio instead of Alsa. To overcome this in the term do: apulse firefox That will launch firefox with pulse emulation and give firefox sound. This isn't necessary with firefox-esr, it will work with Alsa instead of PulseAudio. |
