For pages that do not have much content to work with you may want to look at text based non-contextual advertising. There are several advertisers companies in this space. I haven't used any of them because I am very pleased with my contextual advertising. Yet, if your content just can't support contextual advertising you may wish to give this a shot. Adbrite and text-link-ads.com are two text ad networks that seem to have a good reputation.
