Hello!

I succesfully managed to boot DSL on an old pentium 166 MMX with 50MB of RAM! Great!!
I tried to mount my iPod but that just resturns an error message:
' wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on dev/sda, or to many mounted file systems'
BUT: that is the only thing I want to mount! I tried mounting the harddrive  / floppy and it works fine. When I unmount those and try the ipod again : mount /dev/sda I only get the error message.
I know the ipod got an partition where it saves all the songs which is different (file system?) to where I can save files but how do I mount that (second??) partition??

Thanks!

I think the ipod mini should be a FAT file system, though I'm not positive. The HDD models could be HFS, but I thought the idea was for them to be compatible with Windows systems now. Maybe you need one of the HP models for that.

Try to mount your iPod as dev/sda2.
My iPod has two partition when I look at the USB device, the first seems to be the proprietary iTunes stuff, the second is the USB drive that you can mount.
- make sure you have your iPod enabled to work as a USB drive.
- the iPod needs to be formatted for Windows (FAT32).

all ipods use the apple fs. so there is no way to mount it the classical way. if you format it with FAT32, it doesn't play mp3s anymore.

BUT your solution should be here:
