Quote (Sheltem @ Feb. 02 2006,05:18) | I tried to mount my iPod but that just resturns an error message: ' wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on dev/sda, or to many mounted file systems' BUT: that is the only thing I want to mount! I tried mounting the harddrive / floppy and it works fine. When I unmount those and try the ipod again : mount /dev/sda I only get the error message. I know the ipod got an partition where it saves all the songs which is different (file system?) to where I can save files but how do I mount that (second??) partition??
Thanks! |
Try to mount your iPod as dev/sda2. My iPod has two partition when I look at the USB device, the first seems to be the proprietary iTunes stuff, the second is the USB drive that you can mount. - make sure you have your iPod enabled to work as a USB drive. - the iPod needs to be formatted for Windows (FAT32).
