I recently found myself "deprived" of that other OS when my suck/bloat box had a wicked hardware crash and burn. With no funds available to replace my main squeeze, and knowing DSL would do more with less than the others would, I turned to the junkpile and found an old junker that would boot the DSL LIVE cd and did a lilo frugal install with persistant /home and /opt for backups and such.  I thought his seemed like an unorthodox way to install it but hey, I`m game.

Next was editing the appropriate files to keep what I use and to get rid of the ones I don`t.   DSL boots like a dream toram with a small swap file.  All that`s left is to enjoy using just the slickest little/big OS known to mankind with the self satisfaction of knowing I will never pay another "dime" to that greedy/sucky/bloaty OS maker that I will only allude to here.

 Goodbye Bloatimus Maximus, hello Tux!!!

Many thanks to all who contributed to the development of DSL.  When I get back on my feet I will occasionally send $$$ to support DSL because over the years I have spent enough on that other OS to buy a nice used car.  I just wanted to extend my gratitude and let y`all know that because of DSL, I am one happy redneck hillbilly from Alabama...whodathunkit?
