Hi.
I just downloaded dsl 3.4 and burned it and started it. It was very easy to connect to the internet, over pppoe.
But, I noticed how slow my laptop is. And then I looked at the top right corner and saw that the processor usage is all the time 99 %. Only a few times it fell to 96-97 %.
Can someone explain it to me?!
My laptop is HP pavilio dv5000. AMD Turion64 on 2.0 GHz, 512 of ram. So it is more than enough to run it.
Maybe this is becaouse of running from cd?! But it should not be 99 % all the time.
I am confused.

Someone, please give me advice.

Thanks.

I almost forgot. My scroll doesn't work. How to enable it?

something crashed, that's why processor usage is high. Open Aterm and type "top" and see which process uses that 99% of cpu.

About scroll wheel, boot with "dsl xsetup" then it asks if you have a wheel mouse..

Thank you. I will try that.
And, I have another question. I know it is OT.
Does dsl supports widescreen resolutions? Because my laptop has a widescreen monitor, and dsl is kind of blurry.
For example, when I use firefox, I cannot clearly see everything. As I said, it is blurry, so I have to enlarge text.

Does if you install a full X extension: XFree or Xorg..
