Okay, first off, thanks John for allowing me to post :) I'm new to DSL, but not entirely new to Linux, I've been using it off and on as a hobby OS since the early 00's as a student. I've read over the forums and found more than a few posts that would help my issue, but not an answer to my question.

I'm trying to use a PS/2 Adapter on my Serial port (Doesn't have a PS/2 Port, and uses the round serial port for the keyboard), the computer I'm attempting to use DSL on is very low on memory at 24 MB, and has a 150 MHZ Pentium it uses an S3 PCI Video Card that does the trick, with a clunky Samtron monitor that can't display above 640x480.

I'm not entirely sure the adapter is working, but I know the attached PS2 mouse "should" be. So my question is, would using an adapter somehow affect DSL's ability to use the mouse? I don't think it would, but I'm out of options on my end short of replacing the adapter and waiting a week or more.

The eventual goal is to have a working OS that can at the very least browse the web (by text at the very least) and access a pop3 email account, possibly an IM client. Memory was a huge issue running windows 95 for obvious reasons, and it was for this reason I chose a tiny distro, I've tried a few flavors but found I preferred DSL for a number of reasons. Any help would be most appreciated, if nothing else I'll just replace the adapter and hope for the best.

Did you try manually selecting a serial mouse? (xsetup)

Yes, I tried all 4 com ports, as well as selecting the PS/2 option, didn't try USB because well, it lacks USB, though it lacked a PS/2 port, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it as well.
