Everytime I boot DSL (no matter what version), I received a black screen with an error message "signal over range" and the computer halted.
I have to use failsafe option and the error "signal over range" still occurs after trying to load X windows. Then I have to issue "CTRL+ALT+DEL", DSL enters text mode normally with user id = damnsmalllinux. I think that this error is due to LCD monitor.
After I have changed vga=normal in syslinux.cfg through remastering, this error is fixed.
To do remastering, I have to become root for mouting action, for example. I could become root in text mode before. But I issue "su - root" now, password is required.
To be simple, what is the way to become root in text mode (run level = 2).
