I got a USB memory stick to play with booting off of one, in hopes that I can never use a floppy disk again.

Anyway, DSL works on it with minimal fussing.  I can boot from the USB donle on either of my two modern machines, using an NForce on-board graphics device or a matrox G450.  I am very impressed!

I did need the MBR from SPB Linux.

I liked it so much, I found my old hacked NetPliance iOpener (200mhz) and a 2.5" IDE Flash drive that I bought a while back.  Using the Frugal Hard Disk Install, this worked great, too!  Even with some of the crazy intenal hardware in the iOpener, USB ethernet, and whatnot.  At 200mhz with no L2 cache, it's a tad slow, but all in all, it's great!

I also think that SPB linux would be a nice feature for PXE network booting... I'll try to play with that sometime soon.

SPB Linux looks nice....but DSL does a whole lot more and is bootable from a USB pen as well!!!
