Just a thought... If you are using the fbdev xserver, are you using the proper vga= code at the boot prompt? You might try this: boot: knoppix vga=787 That will give you 800x600, with 16 bpp. The DSL default (in 0.5.3, anyway) is vga=791, which is 1024x768 That would cause the applications to be bigger than the screen you have, or so I would think. Also, I do have one machine where the windows cannot be resized due to a mouse setup problem (I think) I have a serial mouse there. Finally, hold down the Alt key, and you can drag a window around, so you can get at the bottom corners to resize it. ---
