It works great with version 0.9.1.
I hilight Audacity1.2.2.dsl, and click on the MyDSL tab to "install" the application.
After a few seconds, the application is ready to use.
It works great with 0.9.1.
If I try to use Audacity with version 0.9.2, the desktop icons vanish immediately, and I can't get them back.
The menu still works though.
I like having Firefox installed in the 0.9.2 version.

 Uh, Whats going on here ?

what is the set up?
live/hd/usb?
Did you say it works fine from the
menu, but not from the desk top?
Are you overwriting anything special
with a backup/restore?

try booting up using the norestore option, if from liveCD/poormans installs.
Otherwise, rename your backup.tar.gz , to bypass it on next bootup,
then try using the extension, and test for proper usage.

Are you using an older download of Firefox?
The user.group has changed as of the 0.9.x release..
writing to user damnsmall no longer works in DSL.
