I just hosed my backup file!?!?

Why?  Well, I had been working in DSL and had mounted a samba share to the root of my XP box.  Samba, by default, creates the mount point at /home/dsl/mnt/...    No biggie.  But when I went to shut down (to go catch my vanpool at work), I had forgotten about the mount, and DSL started happily trying save the entire XP drive (via the mount) to the backup file.

I started wondering what was taking so long to save...  Took me a minute or two to realize what was going on and I ended up having to do a hard power down on the notebook because I couldn't figure out how to kill the backup in mid stream.

I'll be more wary from now on....but at some point in the future I'm sure I'll get busy and forget again!

So....make a backup of your backup periodically so you don't fall prey to this ID-10-T error, or make sure you don't mount the network drive under /home/dsl.  Another option..<praying to the gods here>...would be if we could have an option setting that would automatically skip backing up anything through a network mount.

Hey, I just figured this out while I've been writing this note!  I'll just include /home/dsl/mnt/ in my .xfiletool.lst....
