Do I understand you correctly if you want to use it as terminal logging into remote linux/unix boxes? If so, you could try to add something like "-query name.of.remote.box -once" at the end of the line in .xserverrc, and delete .xinitrc. I'm not sure if this will work, but I think it is a starting point.
