The stats in the top right were very handy at first but I would would like now to turn them off and wonder also if I can turn off the boxs at the bottom left and still use the workspaces via the buttons and monitor in the task bar..on the last install I found torsmo executable and removed it which removed the stats only but wondered if this also affected other applications..found the torsmo hidden in dsl but not sure if something can be hashed to turn off the stats..when I hashed the display below text at the bottom of the file the stats remained less enhanced ..in the hacking process beaver stopped saveing preferances so I reinstalled and now want to do this correctly
how do I turn off stats in the top right of the display and if possible the workspace boxs..thanks..any help appreciated.

Removing Torsmo from .xinitrc affects only torsmo (keeps it from starting entirely).  The .torsmorc file you were editing will not affect any other applications...whatever problems you were having with beaver are probably unrelated.

The workspace pager is fluxter, as is also started from .xinitrc

Oh..yes this works perfectly and I can turn on and off as needed..thanks very much...not sur about bever..but had to reinstall anyway and it seems to work now so almost finished setup....any chance I can resize the dockable calc...I currently use zoom to see totals and keyboard for input..even if it fit the dock it would help..the onboard calc takes a while to load on this old machine..is not likely but still hopeing for a little more speed and utility on this vintage box
