How are you attempting to move them?

You should be able to do it by either
1) dragging the title bar
2) hold Alt and drag anywhere within the window

If neither of these work, then something is screwed up.  Maybe you have the wrong mouse configured?

These ways do not work.
As well as I can't change the size of window.

The Mouse works orderly, with the exclusion of the third button (and wheel).
I configure it by means of xsetup.sh: Com1 (yes, my mouse for com-port), 3 buttons.

Advise anything, please!

P.S. How adjust the velocity of double-clicking the buttons of mouse?
P.S.2. A4tech 3D-wheel mouse, model SWW-23

i have same problem.

A mouse 9-pin plug
the hold-click not realy "hold", seems to continuous clicks (like turbo joypads)

I run a vnc server, and acessed the machine running DSL by other machine, and the behavior of mouse thats normal(move icons, move and resize windows, etc), but, return to fisical machine, with the "vintage" mouse, the problem still there: can't hold click.

anyone solve this? how?
thanks.

:( I have this problem too....
I have 2 computers:
One of them have an USB mouse, and it works correctly, but the second computer has a Serial mouse and I can't drag and drop windows (it's the only thing that it can't do...)

I don't know how to solve this problem...
