We wish to use DSL as a simple Terminal Services client. The requirement is to have a device that can manage a single remote desktop session to a server running Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services using a pair of 1280 x 1024 monitors as a single desktop – that is, 2560 x 1024.

The HP t5710 thin client we are using has a dual head Nvidia Quadro NVS dual head graphics card. Unfortuantely, using the supplied XPe, we cannot get above 1600 x 1200 resolution due to limitations apparently within Microsoft’s desktop client.

I have got DSL running from a USB key and have both attached screens working at 1280 x 1024.

Now I want to change the mode from this ‘mirror’ mode (where the screens both display exactly the same thing) to stretched desktop (where we have a desktop at 2560 x 1024 resolution across both screens).

Any help on this final hurdle would be much appreciated.
