Well I'm quite happy with how DSL is functioning - it's very fast! Currently I have it running on my SOLO 2100, 120Mhz, 24MB laptop. It's nothing special, I bought it for 10 bucks - and have been wanting to get it to 'run' properly. The issue I'm having is that I can't get 256 colors, 8 bit. When I start X with 8 bits of color everything turns a very dark purple, and all the images just end up looking purple (you can't really make them out). If I switch down to 4bit (16 color) everything looks better, and not hued.
The VGA adapter is a Cirrus Logic GD 7548, if that helps.
