Hello people,

When i run emelfm (by pressing ALT-E, keymapping in the file: keys) my desktop icons come back on screen (and i don't want to see them!)

What i want is to be able to SHOW/HIDE the icons whenever i want BUT at boottime and don't want to see icons AND i still don't want to see them when i run something else like EMELFM.

Most of this i can make happen (alt i shows the icons, alt n hides them), it is just that these pesty icons come up when i run emelfm (the only program that does this)

It doesn't matter if i run emelfm as root or as dsl, in both cased the icons pop up.

Can't say from experience, since i don't use icons myself, but there were apparently some issues with emelfm and xtdesk which resulted in a wrapper being made for emelfm. I'm not sure what the problem was, so can't suggest how to work with the wrapper. What you can do, however, is to run emelfm.bin instead of emelfm, bypassing the wrapper.
