In keeping with the theme of making things as small as possible, i decided to make the smallest fluxbox style i could without making it completely ugly (a few more lines could have been removed, but the result would be less than appealing).  It has no background image, no gradients, and no focus/unfocus color changes other than a highlight in the menu....it's just simple black and gray, and 1/10 the size of the Minimal style.
Code Sample
borderWidth: 1
bevelWidth: 1
*position: right
*font: fixed
*justify: center
menu*justify: left
*color: black
*colorTo: black
*textColor: gray80
*picColor: gray30
*hilite.color: gray30
borderColor: gray30
rootCommand:   bsetroot -solid black

Is there any way that you could take out the carriage returns and spaces and save an extra byte or two?  :p

--EDIT--
Updated from Reply 2 (version 2.0 if you will)!

:D I doubt that would work.
Another 10 could probably be saved by removing the spaces after the colons, though, but i haven't tested that.  Could also probably rearrange and change the syntax of the "color" lines so i could remove at least one of them, but i didn't notice that until just now.

I also haven't tried loading an empty style just to see what all the defaults are...might be the same as some lines already in the file. The "borderWidth" line doesn't seem to be necessary, but i haven't tried it with any fluxbox version other than the one in DSL...the default might not be "1" in other versions.

This is pretty picky business, but I have more free time than i should have =o)

EDIT: made a few changes due to differences in the defaults between fluxbox stable and devel, and also to remove the spaces.
File size is now 226 bytes (from 242). The default settings are just a little too ugly for me, so i kept the light text on dark background.

Code Sample
borderWidth:1
bevelWidth:1
*bullet:square
*font:fixed
*justify:center
menu*justify:left
*color:black
*colorTo:black
*textColor:gray80
*picColor:gray30
*hilite.color:gray30
borderColor:gray30
rootCommand:bsetroot -solid black

That's beautiful! Where do I run the code?
Mikshaw, are you documenting all of this stuff you are doing to lighten up DSL? I'd like to buy the book.

It's not executable code...it's just configuration settings.  Save it as a text file (name it whatever you want) in /home/dsl/.fluxbox/styles and it should automatically appear in your "desktop > styles" menu
