Hi

I'm really new to DSL, however I am not new to Linux I have been using it for a while now and love it, my question is I really want to be able to click on a file twice before it open, so is there a way to change the mouse theme and or scheme so that I have to double click before and application is executed???

Thanks
Bash

As far as the icons on the desktop, no.  They are not controlled by mouse configuration, but are instead hard-coded into xtdesk.  Only way around this would be to reinstall xtdesk compiled with double-click.  Copying the xtdesk executable from an earlier version of DSL should work.

So, now different question but using your reply, so if I need to recompile the xtdesk to double click, can I rewrite xtdesk so that it has the icons and programs that I want on there, because I want to remove some and add more update programs on dsl anyway. And the only other question I would have how can you exit fluxbox without shutdown linux so that i can copy over my modified stdesk file. And thanks Milkshaw for responding so quickly!!

You don't really need to recompile xtdesk...the DSL releases prior to 1.5 have the double-click, so you could copy the xtdesk executable from 1.4 into DSL current to use that feature.
The icons are all stored in the .xtdesktop, in your home directory.  Depending on what type of DSL installation you have, removal of icons could be more than just removal.  Everything in /home/dsl is copied from /etc/skel during boot in a liveCD, frugal, or embedded setup, so in these systems you'll need to remove the ones you do not want by adding some 'rm' commands to /opt/bootlocal.sh so they are removed every time you start up.  Adding new ones is just a matter of putting them into .xtdesktop and making sure you have a writable partition specified for a backup.

When you exit fluxbox, you should not be exiting linux....unless you are using embedded?  If so, don't exit fluxbox...just use the "Desktop" menu items to disable and then reload the icons.
