Hi!
First of all let me thank you a lot for this excellent product. I'm the author of the SlimCD - a remastered DSL which was first intended to be a demo CD for the SlimServer (http://www.slimdevices.com). It since has become quite popular in the SlimServer community. Many users out there are very thankful for what you've done without ever having visited this site or knowing about DSL!
I'm now in the process of upgrading to DSL 2.x as the base. It's running fine so far except for one phenomenon I don't understand. I have custom links on the desktop. The .lnk files are stored in /etc/skel/.xtdesktop and are correctly copied into the user's home. Except for one link whose .lnk file always gets truncated. The last few lines containing the coordinates are stripped off. I don't understand this as the version in the skel directory is correct.
Is there any other process than a simple cp touching those files? I tested using 2.0 and 2.1rc2 with the same result (on always the same file). Any help is appreciated.
BTW: I've been running a SlimCD based server 24/7 for several weeks. I did a frugal install to a CF module, mounting the hd containing the music collection read-only and putting it in sleep mode when not used. My gf never noticed there was a _server_ running in the bedroom ;-).
Regards,
Michael
