DSL is compiled with dual processor support.  I ran it on my dual P3 1Ghz machine and both processors were recognized. You can tell if both processors are recognized because when you boot there will be 2 tux logos.  Also both processors and speeds should be displayed when booting.  As far as using both processors, I believe that is up to the program you are running and I can't tell you for sure which programs do and don't utilize multiple processors.  I hope this helps,
