I have an old dell optiplex that doesn't support usb booting. I was able to get it to work using the USB floppy boot method. My intent was to pull the motherboard out and put it in a case I have made, but had not intended on having the powersupply attached. Is this possible, or will I need to change my case to accept the power supply?

Are you asking if you can run without a power supply?

No, what I am asking is do I need to use the power supply that came with the computer or can I use a smaller easier to conceal power supply. I was thinking of a laptop power supply.
