I connect via modem to the internet...useing dillo or firefox or even downloading mail I find if the cusor is not moving neither does my download..if I move the mouse thus cursor around everything is fine..everything looks normal..in that the download moves along at a normal pace..stop moving the mouse and the download stops and I eventually get timed out and have to reconnect and move the mouse until the mail or program are finished..
.WHAT IS GOING ON HERE..please help

I have solved part of this issue...this is an internal ISA modem...I switched the modem to com2 on the modem and disabled com2 in the bios..and then switched to com2 in pppsetup..this solves the mouse movement issue...the connection is still very slow compared to the same modem under win95...
Question...why is my connection so slow?
