Hi,
I would like to be able to use the ifup / ifdown commands, but I get this:
Ignoring unknown interface eth0.
The internet connection is working OK, though via Eth0.
Any suggestions? I googled for it and couldn't find the right answer.
Update: using "sudo ifconfig eth0 down", I manged to shut off the connection to the internet, but though I tried to restore it with "sudo ifconfig eth0 up", I now get the message: The connection was refused when attempting to contact etc.".
What do I have to do to restore my Internet connection?
