Dude...it would be a whole lot more helpful if you used proper sentence structure. I know I use a lot of dots (...) myself, but there are times when they are appropriate and times when they are not. Reading your posts is like talking to a guy who's on coke.
Jeremy already said that things in /ramdisk disappear, so that's obviously either live CD or frugal.
If you're having trouble saving to a permanent location because of file permissions, you can download to ramdisk and then transfer the software to the permanent location as root. Another option is to use a persistent /home (boot option "home=hda1", for example) or backup/restore system, which would allow your personal files to remain intact after a reboot. When you say you "can't open them", what exactly do you mean? What have you done to try opening them? And finally, what are you trying to download? Is it myDSL software or something else?
