hello, today i managed to use mandriva (blegh) to program a microcontroller using the serial port. now i want to do the same thing with dsl on my laptop. the program script is made in python and i have python installed. now i get an error that the microcontroller programmer (connected to my first and only serial port) is not responding. so i think i need to have some kind of serial port deamon running to use it. cuz at mandriva (also one serial port on that pc) it worked right out of the box. so anyone knows something about using the serial port in dsl?
