Hi,

DSL asks if you want to keep your downloaded ext. in the ramdisk/tmp folder in order for you to have them when re-booting DSL the next time.

I don't use this option because I keep my extension on a partition of my harddrive (named hda5; it can be something else in your system) or on a usb key (at /mnt/sdax or /mnt/sdbx). If I want to boot DSL with these extension, then I edit my grub menu.lst or lilo conf. file and type in the boot line

mydsl=hdax

or

mydsl=sdax

So, if you prefer to keep the downloaded extension on your hd, just remove them to the right place (in a shell as root: rm /ramdisk/tmp/nameofoneextension /mnt/hdax; or with the "move" button in emelfm). If you want to keep them in /ramdisk/tmp, then say "yes" when the message prompts. If you don't want to keep them, say "no" at message prompt.

yours
z

if you usb key is big enough and assuming it's /dev/sda1 then you can save them in /mnt/sda1 (if you boot with 'frugal') but you may have to be root.

for a usb-zip install, it may be sda2 (the big partition).
